Mr. Moldave concentrates his practice in the areas of computer software licensing transactions and corporate and securities law. He advises a wide variety of clients in the software industry, including emerging software companies in the internet and enterprise software area, investors in software companies, and individual executives, authors and consultants, on issues including business formation, angel and venture capital financing, mergers and acquisitions, equity-based compensation, and software development, distribution, publishing and licensing arrangements.

Since Spring 2002, Mr. Moldave has been an adjunct faculty member at Suffolk University Law School, where he teaches a course on licensing intellectual property.

Prior to joining the firm, he worked at Apple Computer, Inc., where he was responsible for federal securities law compliance and legal aspects of corporate finance transactions and technology joint ventures, as well as general corporate legal advice, and at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, where he concentrated in corporate and securities transactions, including mergers and acquisition of publicly and privately held companies and public and private placements of securities.

Mr. Moldave has a J.D. from the University of California (Boalt Hall) and a B.A. in Chemistry and Physics from Harvard College. He is a member of the California and Massachusetts Bars.

RECENT SEMINARS, PUBLICATIONS AND ACTIVITIES

June 19-20, 2006- Mr. Moldave made a presentation on Maintenance Agreements and Service Level Agreements, and was a panelist on Roundtable on Key Changes in the Software Industry at the American Conference Institute's 11th Annual Dealmakers' Forum on Optimizing Software Licensing Agreements in New York City.

May 11, 2005 -- Spoke on open source licenses at Open Source Software, a seminar sponsored by Law Seminars International, in Reston Virginia.

March 18, 2005- Panelist at the Georgetown Advanced Computer and Internet Law Institute in Washington DC.

March 26, 2005 speaker at Law and Technology, Current Trends in the Open Source and Free Software Movement at Franklin Pierce Law Center, Concord, New Hampshire.

April 2, 2004 - Presenter - Sophisticated Licensing Issues, Suffolk University Law School

January 27, 2004 - Panelist - Business Practices and Legal Issues Series: Open Source, Massachusetts Software & Internet Council.

On June 13, 2003, Mr. Moldave spoke at the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) 6th Annual Intellectual Property Law Conference on a panel on advanced licensing issues.
