Sarah Curtis Richmond is a partner who specializes in providing general corporate and intellectual property legal services for high-technology companies. Her transactional practice includes the representation of purchasers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions, as well as start-up companies in venture capital and "angel" financings. She provides advice on day-to-day corporate matters, including business organization, employment matters, structuring shareholder and financing arrangements, corporate governance and equity compensation arrangements. Ms. Richmond's intellectual property practice includes negotiating software licensing and development arrangements and web-based agreements.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Richmond was associated with Hale and Dorr (now WilmerHale) in Boston, where she represented companies in connection with corporate transactions and performed ongoing securities and other corporate work for both public and private companies. Prior to Hale and Dorr, Ms. Richmond practiced law with Tomotsune, Kimura & Mitomi, a Japanese international finance law firm in Tokyo, where she represented clients engaging in international joint ventures and provided advice to Japanese companies on United States corporate law.

Ms. Richmond is the Co-Chair of the Corporate Law Committee of the Boston Bar Association. Ms. Richmond is also a member of the Boston Club, and chairs its attorney group. Ms. Richmond was selected as a "Massachusetts Super Lawyer" in 2007 and 2006 and a "Massachusetts Super Lawyer Rising Star" in 2005 and 2004 by Law & Politics Magazine.

Ms. Richmond received her undergraduate degree in mathematics from Columbia University, where she graduated magna cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She received her law degree from Harvard Law School where she graduated cum laude.
