Alisa Hoover has more than two decades of experience collaborating with operating companies, venture capital and private equity investors and financial institutions, among others, on day-to-day matters and transactions that transform and protect businesses. She is a trusted business partner to early stage and emerging companies throughout their life cycle, as well to middle market and multinational Fortune 500 companies, utilizing her vast experience to craft workable and cost-effective solutions designed to catapult her clients to success.
Alisa’s practice focuses on advising business leaders and stakeholders on business strategy and planning, mergers and acquisitions, investment and financing transactions, complex contracting, debt and equity securities offerings, corporate governance, sales and marketing, R&D, risk management, investment management, health care laws, compliance and privacy.
Prior to joining Gesmer, Alisa was in-house as General Counsel to a division of a life sciences company where she was an active member of the executive management team. Alisa began her career at prestigious New York City law firms, and also ran her own successful law firm. These varied experiences allow her to provide business-centric strategic and legal advice as a trusted advisor to her clients.
Today, Alisa lives in Rhode Island with her daughter. She is involved with her community with public service and volunteer work. In her spare time, she enjoys live music and photography.
