David M. McGlone

Partner

David McGlone is an accomplished first chair trial litigator with more than 33 years of experience.

He adeptly navigates a diverse array of commercial and general litigation cases. He expertly guides clients through every phase of trial work in Federal and Superior Courts, as well as arbitration, employing innovative pre-trial remedies and outcome-driven trial strategies.

Over the course of his career, David has:

  • Tried and successfully defended the subsequent appeal of a triple-damages verdict returned by a federal jury. The case has since become a benchmark case on the right to a jury trial in the First Circuit.
  • Obtained summary judgment and defended an appeal, resulting in a wholly new interpretation of a subcontractor’s entitlement to payment under the Massachusetts Mechanic’s lien statute.
  • Obtained ex parte seizure of assets.
  • Prosecuted and settled defective plans and specifications matters against the Federal Government.
  • Successfully defended and prosecuted multiple real estate matters with diverse issues.
  • Obtained summary judgment for the owner on breach of contract by the general contractor.
  • Successfully defended the client’s claim against the state’s request for an injunction.

When he is not in the office, David spends time in the White Mountain and Lakes Region of New Hampshire. There, he enjoys running, paddleboarding, and weightlifting. He is slowly learning Swiss German. He is an ardent Boston College sports fan. Both of his adult children currently live in India.
